Job Description

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate all on site accounting functions with the Staff Accountant
  • Act as a point of contact for property/department accounting requests
  • Responsible for maintenance of all daily filing of documents needed for research
  • Researches and answers guests' questions regarding charges
  • Complete the reconciliation of Daily Posting Journal and cashier deposits
  • Assist in managing revenues received and dispersed including accounts receivable, accounts payable etc.
  • In charge of all credit card disputes
  • Issue Travel Commission checks
  • Responsible for cash handling functions and reconcile all cash deposits
  • Process Online gift cards and reconciles hotel gift cards
  • Prepares Gift documents as requested
  • Night Audit backup as needed
  • Reviews Night Auditors spreadsheets and reconciles House Accounts
  • Ensure that proper accounting procedures are followed
  • Perform special projects and assignments

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred


  • Strong 2+ years Property Accountant experience is preferred
  • Prior hotel experience is required
  • Knowledge of Opera is a plus
  • Knowledge of Micros & Spa Soft a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP a plus
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
  • Ability to Follow strict deadlines and prioritize/multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Maintain effective communication with Management Team
