Job Description

As the HR Assistant, you represent the human resources department as a facilitator of all HR functions and programs. This will be a part-time position, anywhere from 20-30 hours per week. To ensure efficient operations, you will perform a substantial amount of research, data analysis, and reporting as it relates to employee productivity. Your goal is to ensure the HR department's operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining human resources processes
  • addressing issues raised by current employees and new-hires
  • Administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Answering employee requests and questions
  • Assist with updating job descriptions, as well as assisting with job posting
  • Assisting with new employee hiring processes
  • Assisting with the recruitment and interview processes
  • Preparing New Employee files
  • Assisting with employee benefits
  • Assisting with the performance review and termination processes
  • Conducts exit interviewing and counseling when necessary
  • Conducts written notifications
  • Maintains records by entering confidential information
  • Assisting with training for the agency


  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Google
  • Aptitude in problem solving
  • Entry level experience in HR or related field

  • Communication skills: The job requires good listening, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Organizational skills: Must be able to easily access and store many types of information on a daily basis.
  • Confidentiality: Handles confidential and sensitive information that must not be shared with others.
