Job Description

Job Title: 3rd Shift Production Manager
Reports to: Plant Manager or Operations Manager

Position Summary:
The 3rd Shift Production Manager is charged with the direct supervision of the day to day operations of the 3rd shift of the production facility. This position oversees a staff of 50+, across 7 production suites. The 3rd Shift Production Manager works closely with Plant Manager to implement the instructions, standards and procedures necessary to produce salable, quality products.


Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing direct reports that include room leads and the 3rd Shift Supervisor.
  • Make sure that the shift supervisor understands the assignments for all production.
  • Perform routine checks of all production suites, to ensure proper operation.
  • Assign workers to different positions as needed. Evaluate overall staffing as required.
  • Ensuring that company policies are followed by the employees including GMP policies and procedures.


Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years prior experience in a supervisory or management role in a production environment. Dietary supplement or applicable relevant prior experience is preferred
  • Must be proficient using a computer, Microsoft Office and other software.
  • Must be able to analyze and interpret scientific data and work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Organized and able to handle multiple activities.
  • Ability to hire, coach, train and release staff as needed.
  • Ability to change and evolve and get others to do so as well.
  • Ability to lead, evaluate, and maximize the performance of staff.


Performance:

  • Attendance and punctuality are a must as ongoing facility & equipment maintenance is vital to the rest of the company.
  • Must have a positive attitude in order to motivate the personnel and be able to lead by example
  • Good documentation and communication skills, organized, attention to details, self-starter and team worker.
