Job Description


SNI Companies is looking to hire a Purchasing/Logistics Specialist this candidate will oversee that the overall systems process runs smoothly from order fulfillment to shipment and to billing. This requires the Supply Chain Specialist to ensure data accuracy and inventory as well.
The duties and responsibilities associated with the Purchasing/Logistics Specialist role are as follows:

  • Liaise with shipping companies and customs brokers for import and export shipments and track movement of shipments.
  • Manage inbound and outbound delivery of products.
  • Review logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Propose strategies to minimize cost or time required to transport goods.
  • Be responsible for inventory management, and other supply chain planning and management.
  • Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
  • Maintains manual or computerized procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action
  • MUST have experience purchasing through China.
  • Generate and distribute between 20-30 purchase orders to vendors weekly to fulfill back orders.


Qualifications associated with the Purchasing/Logistics Specialist role consist of:

  • Exemplary organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • 3 - 4 years of strong logistics and purchasing experience.
  • Experience purchasing in China.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related technical field preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of warehouse and import/export experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Technical knowledge of supply chain and logistics (preferred).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
