Job Description

Key Accountabilities

o Assists in the coordination and supervision of the year-end audits with the auditing firm; monitors and confirms financial condition by assisting with audits and providing information to external auditing firms.
o Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
o Maintains general ledger, including preparing financial schedules and writing journal entries.
o Maintains authorization schedules for lease agreements, mortgages and bank notes.
o Prepares reports for pension plan including verification of census data and computation of employer contributions, as well as asset performance.
o Experience filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings. Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
o Maintenance of fixed asset records for related partnership. Includes the accounting of additions/deletions, updating of equipment rent schedules, depreciation schedules, as well as the preparation of property tax declarations.
o Prepares various financial analyses and reports.
o Prepares special reports as requested by administration.
o Participates in professional development activities.
