Job Description

One of our valued clients is seeking a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for billing and contract maintenance. The candidate will work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager and Controller.

  • Manage administration of all lump-sum, time & material, and project billing agreements which includes online billing , identify any discrepancies to assure that they are billed in accordance with contract terms.
  • Maintain all customer contact information and billing records.
  • Manage monthly WIP and labor reports
  • Communicate regularly with clients to reconcile accounts to identify and resolve billing issues.
  • Help to create and manipulate policies and processes to ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Work closely with accounting members, project managers and sales to facilitate billing and other functions as needed.
  • Review Insurance Requirements and order Certificates of Insurance
  • Obtain Subcontractors Certificates of Insurance and maintain records
  • Track and administer contract renewals and expirations
  • Act as point of contact for sub-contractors and contracts
  • Obtain Tax exempt forms and maintain records
  • Maintain paper and electronic filing system for contracts
  • Obtain and maintain records of bonds on applicable projects


  • Experience in the construction/manufacturing industry with understanding of AIA project billing requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency with accounting and billing software
  • Knowledge of CF Data Construction a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills
