Job Description

We just got in a new role with a long term client. A growing publicly traded distribution company, is in search of an ambitious Staff Accountant to join its team. This is a newly created role due to the company's growth. This is an opportunity to "grow up" in dynamic, fast paced organization.   • Monthly reports to management on financial results
  • Tax schedules
  • Month-end consolidation
  • Fixed asset reconciliation and monitoring
  • Provide audit schedules
  • Analyze accounts to determine the entries that may need to be made/changed
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Creating monthly journal entries
  • Work with branches to answer questions and solve problems
  • Creating journal entries resulting from reconciliations
  • Create processes and procedures that will make the Department more effective as a whole
  • Assist the accounting group with other items as needed

Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills along with a proactive response to potential issues
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage others and work collaboratively with multiple departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel
  • Minimum 2 years of Accounting experience
  • Experience in Profit 21 and Syteline by Infor a plus but not required
