Our long term client, a midstream company located in Central Houston, is conducting a search for a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant. This is an opportunity to work for a dynamic organization that has consistently been voted one of Houston's best places to work. Responsibilities include internal & external financial reporting, interfacing with various departments to resolve issues, accounting research and supervising the more junior Staff.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

  • Reporting. Support all aspects of internal and external financial reporting including preparing quarterly 10-Q and 10-K reports, gathering pertinent financial information and compiling prepared financial statement data.
  • Issue Resolution. Work with various internal groups including general accounting, segment accounting groups, treasury, risk, budgeting and financial planning, legal and investor relations, and act as a resource to solving finance related issues.
  • Department Support. Provide accounting support in areas related to SEC reporting, internal/external audit, stand-alone audits, etc.
  • Research. Perform research on and develop accounting position papers to support the Company's significant accounting and SOX matters.
  • Compliance. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal requirements.
  • And other duties as assigned.
