Job Description

Exceptional opportunity for Senior Accountant in Middlesex County. Large, established, dynamic manufacturing company. Senior Accountant duties include a wide range of accounting activities to provide for the recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial transactions. The Senior Accountant will also have managed high profile accounting-related projects. Successful Senior Accountant candidate will have at least 3 years in progressive general accounting and experience with MS software applications. The Senior Accountant position will report to the Controller and provides an excellent opportunity for career growth.


Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs month end close functions and ensures financial statements are in compliance with US GAAP.
- Performs monthly and quarterly financial statement reviews, variance analytics
- Reviews balance sheet reconciliations and key account/trend analysis.
- Participates in financial process improvements, internal and external audits, and special projects.
- Advises management on financial impact of alternative commercial business decisions.
- Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective to identify solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance or related field.
- CPA or advanced degree a plus.
- Public accounting/Big 4 experience a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting practices, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem solving, documentation, research/analysis and resolution skills.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter: able to complete tasks with limited supervision.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
