Growing Pharmaceutical client in Parsippany is seeking and SEC Reporting Manager to joing their team. The SEC Reporiting Manger will report directly to the Assistant Controller and be very visible to the SVP/Corporate Controller. The SEC Reporting Manager will be heavily involved with the preparation of SEC filings including form 10-Q/K as well as the drafting of technical memos. Some of the specific responsibilities of the SEC Reporting Manager are as follows:

  • Lead equity and stock based compensation accounting and administration of Company equity programs
  • Assist with preparation of Board of Director financial packages
  • Assist in the management of the transition of accounting processes and ledgers associated with target's financial position, statement of operations, and related cash flows.
  • Assist with the preparation and / or analysis of monthly financial statements of targets as well as budget vs. actual analysis.
  • Assisting with fair value accounting in connection with business combination guidance.
  • Implements accounting processes and systems for new business development and works to streamline and improve processes.
  • Assist in verifying the completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness of assumptions utilized in financial models

To be considered for the SEC Reporting Manager position, candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility required; Big 4 or Large regional public accounting experience preferred
  • Pharmaceutical industry preferred;
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP guidelines, SEC reporting requirements and auditor procedures required as well as experience in drafting technical memos and implementation of new GAAP guidance
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and a professional demeanor required
