Job Description


Our company has an immediate opening for a SEC & Financial Reporting Manager. The successful candidate is a highly self-motivated, professional, with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. This position will oversee all SEC reporting matters as further elaborated below. The position works interactively with the Company's Accounting team, who have primary responsibility for the preparation and management of the consolidated financial statements and the related Notes to the financial statements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and filing of all SEC financial reports (not limited to, but including Form 10K, Form 10Q, Form 8K and proxy statements)
  • Lead the preparation of work papers supporting SEC financial filings requirements including financial statements, footnote disclosures, MD&A, etc. subject to note above
  • Ensure that the complete 10-K or 10-Q document works together as one coherent product from the company and that the entire document is supported by relevant work-papers
  • Prepare quarterly earnings releases
  • Assist with conference call scripts and investor slide decks
  • Create and maintain our SEC calendar to inform parties of necessary deadlines for the following processes: 10-Q/K, BOD and Audit Committee meetings, and press release
  • Prepare communications for the quarterly Disclosure Committee, and Audit Committee
  • Coordinate, assist, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process
  • Develop, maintain and strengthen internal controls over the financial reporting process
  • Collaborate with business operators and FP&A Group to understand budget implications and implement planning strategy
  • Develop processes to assist in the integration of external and internal reporting to avoid duplication of efforts


Requirements

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus
  • 5-7+ years of financial accounting experience with Big 4 or national public accounting firm and/or industry experience; SEC experience required
  • Licensed CPA with demonstrated and proven success in application of US GAAP, financial analysis, and SEC financial reporting
  • Experienced in executing due diligence steps to ensure SEC filing integrity
  • Superb knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
  • Familiarity with Certent, XBRL and Yardi a plus
