Job Description


We have an opportunity for the right candidate to join one of our partners as a Materials Manager. This position is responsible for planning, procurement, storage, control and distribution of materials and products. Below will include some of the responsibilities:

  • Oversees the purchasing and/or contracting for materials, supplies, equipment, and services for the operation of the Company.
  • Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and transportation charges.
  • Oversees and ensures proper production control planning and scheduling programs to meet sales orders and forecasts.
  • Develops, establishes, and reviews reporting systems that relate to the materials planning.
  • Responsible for supporting the exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery.
  • Keeps abreast of markets and materials pricing trends that impacts company products.
  • Establishes procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory. This task includes the counting and valuing of the year-end physical inventory.
  • Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions.

  • Atleast Five years of experience with a focus in Purchasing, Production and/or Inventory Control.
  • Worked effectively within budgetary constraints
  • Delivered year over year decline in purchase price variance
  • Ability to utilize the Microsoft office programs, ERP systems.
  • Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience
