Job Description


The International Tax Manager will report to the Senior Tax Manager and be responsible for transfer pricing, Forms 1042, 1118, 5471, 5472, 8865 and BEPS reporting.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on preparation and/or review of international tax aspects of US return; including but not limited to Forms 1042, 5471, 5472 and 8865, U.S. inclusions, Form 1118, disclosures, etc
  • Ensure timely filing for all Canadian income tax compliance including SR&ED claim.
  • Prepare quarterly cost sharing and management charges.
  • Perform quarterly review of worldwide intercompany calculations.
  • Assist in the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision and preparation of quarterly WW tax payable, including analyses of foreign tax accounts and subpart F projection.
  • Support tax examinations in both US and non-US jurisdictions and assist in determining strategy to defend tax positions and/or negotiate with tax authorities to obtain the most favorable result.
  • Perform tax research and analysis to support various tax initiatives. (i.e., foreign dividend planning and cash re-deployment, what-ifs, gain/loss calculations) to determine U.S. tax implications.
  • Preparation of financial analyses to determine transfer pricing implications of supply chain decisions, in- licensing deals and acquisitions;
  • Maintenance and preparation of 6662 transfer pricing documentation and global pricing policies;
  • Responsible for the computation of Foreign Tax Credits and related limitations.
  • Preparation of BEPS reporting to parent company.
  • Calculation of FDII, GILTI and BEAT.


Education

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in Tax


Required Skills/ Experience

  • Solid foundational expertise in federal and international tax and compliance.
  • Strong Excel skills and Proficient in MS-Office Applications.


Desired Skills/ Experience

  • Five to eight years of U.S. international tax experience in a multi-national corporation and /or Big Four with an emphasis on transfer pricing and Canadian Tax.


CPA or MBA preferred, but necessary
