Our client is global pharmaceutical company in the Bridgewater, NJ area seeking a fast track Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team. The Senior Financial Analyst position is very visible with in the Finance organization. The Senior Financial Analyst with have a lot of exposure to the senior leaders of the Finance team including the VP of Finance, Controller and CFO. Our client offers a top compensation plan and top notch benefits! Some the specific responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze actual versus forecasted and budgeted financial results, with a specific focus on Selling, Marketing and G&A (SG&A) expenses. Provide variance analysis highlighting key business drivers as required for executive reporting, project status and headcount status. This also includes analysis and preparation of narratives, presentations, and reports for NA Leadership and Global FP&A.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the annual budget/strategic plan reports, narratives and departmental/site presentations for Consolidated North America.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of information used in reporting, analysis, and decision-making by thoroughly analyzing conditions, trends, and facts.
  • Work with Finance/FP&A at all North America sites to interpret results and make recommendations regarding accounting/forecasting issues.
  • Develop and build advanced analytical and financial models to identify and address business issues and/or opportunities.
  • Build and maintain sound and reliable business relationships across the organization. Act as a resource for non-financial personnel on matters of accounting, finance and analysis
  • Assist NA leadership with financial/operational analysis for special projects.

The minimum qualifications to be considered for the Senior Financial Analyst are:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years of experience. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Must possess strong finance/accounting technical knowledge, as well as business knowledge of sales, marketing and finance, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior forecasting, planning and financial modeling experience is required. Must have advanced technical skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and strong system skills, preferably Hyperion and SAP.
  • Must possess strong decision-making capabilities and advanced analytical skills; must be able to see the "big picture" and have the ability to look beyond the data for assumptions and implications. Must also demonstrate the ability to take initiative, respond to work demands in a flexible manner and produce timely, high quality work products. Must have a proven track record of analyzing business trends, including identification of business risks and opportunities and have the ability to present recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Advanced skills in developing financial models, reporting and variance analysis. This position also requires excellent interpersonal skills and confidence sufficient to interact with all levels of personnel within the organization and the proven ability to lead in a team environment. Must possess excellent ability to communicate ideas and analysis effectively to influence business decisions and display confidence and maturity in dealing with all levels of the organization. Must have the skill sets to build and maintain sound and reliable business relationships.
