Job Description

One of our valued clients is seeking a Financial Operations Director to add to their team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative operational excellence leader who will utilize Six Sigma, Lean, and Continuous Improvement principles while transforming a firms accounting practices.

  • Drive business transformation, using lean and six sigma knowledge and tools along with strong leadership competencies across the value chain in both client facing and internal operations work flows. Promote excellence, challenging traditional thinking, boundaries and modes of operation
  • Develop and foster a culture of CI by leading improvement activities involving members from all levels and areas of the Firm.
  • Integrate Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing tools to consistently improve productivity, reduce drag, and drive positive outcomes for our three contingencies: our members, our customers, and the Firm.
  • Coach / mentor stakeholders at all levels to support them through the adoption of lean principles and practices
  • Develop business improvement planning processes that align and prioritize improvement projects linked to business strategy and business planning at corporate and operational levels
  • Manage and develop the site level OE governance program, which includes identification of business/functional processes, application of functional excellence tools to introduce and measure efficiencies and improve productivity


  • MBA or masters in economics or related field.
  • Consulting experience within a large firm is a plus
  • A change-maker with transformation experience in a fast-moving, dynamic company.
  • Proven experience as both a strategic designer who can design for an emerging but unclear future as well an operator who executes and delivers exceptional results directly and through a cross functional team.
  • Ten plus (10+) years in senior OE leadership roles, preferably in entrepreneurial type of environments.
  • Builds relationships, able to negotiate & influence, and manage change in matrix environment, including client facing as well as internal operational groups such as finance, HR, IT, sales, and marketing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing portfolio of projects and in leading change through others to achieve operational excellence.
  • Exceptional skills in leadership, coaching, analytical problem solving and strong business acumen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of both operational as well as technical solutions and proficient in related software.
