Job Description


  • Conducts all duties associated with accounts payable including: interacting with staff and vendors; processing invoices; expense coding; and data entry.
  • Conducts all duties associated with accounts receivable including performing bank deposits and tracking and following up on all accounts receivables.
  • Reconcile all invoices with payments with the correct deductions/chargebacks coding.
  • Assists with duties associated with weekly payroll, including inputting data for payroll.
  • Performs monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
  • Assists in gathering required documents for new vendor/customer set up.
  • Maintain vendor files.
  • Assists in 1099 preparation.
  • Performs special projects and duties as assigned.
  • Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Preparation, analysis and presentation of all plant manufacturing budgets for direct labor, material yields, operating outputs and departmental spending.
  • Filing as needed.


  • Strong experience with bank reconciliation, accounting payable/receivable principles, general bookkeeping, financial statements and some payroll experience.
  • A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience in the field) in finance, accounting, or business; and advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel are preferred.
  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, MBA preferred, professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
  • 3-7 years' experience in a bookkeeping position, experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills, link and analyze plant operational metrics to financial performance
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with strong planning and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Problem-solving aptitude
