Job Description



Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and supervision for Accounting and Accounts Payable, working with the organization's leadership team to support agency goals.
  • Hire, supervise, train and mentor staff. Define staff roles and responsibilities, communicate performance standards, monitor quality of work product, and provide feedback to team members through individual and group meetings.
  • Manage all day-to-day financial activities including accounting, payables, treasury, etc.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and templates.
  • Work as a liaison with external auditors to ensure successful completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement by focusing on standard, transparent processes.
  • Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of what to report to the supervisor or Director of Quality Improvement when concerns of corporate compliance arise.
  • Ensures compliance within guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies (JCAHO, DPH, ERISA etc.) and demonstrates compliance with Home Health Foundation policies and procedures.
  • Practices confidentiality principles set by the agency and federal HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participates in all mandatory in-services.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting
  • Requires a minimum of 7 years of total accounting experience with 3 years of management responsibility.
  • Prior healthcare industry experience a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting concepts and hands on approach
  • Proficient IT-skills; Advanced Excel, Blackbaud Financial Edge and EMR software preferred
