Job Summary
Complete the setup, operation, gaging, and adjustment of CNC screw machines used to produce precision parts and instruments.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ability to follow safety and machine standard work.
• Setup of equipment through first piece inspection including tooling and material changes.
• Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers,
or grinders.
• Handling of raw materials and finished goods.
• Communication with co-workers, team leads, inspectors, and management
• Measures, examines, and inspects completed units in order to detect defects and ensure
conformance to specifications.
Qualifications
• Performs work under direct supervision.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
• Mathematical skills.
• Blueprint reading
• Gaging knowledge
• Technical expertise.
• Manual dexterity.
• Physical Stamina. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Education Requirements
Minimum High School or GED solid communication and basic math skills required
Minimum 2 Years of CNC Experience
The CNC Machinist position requires blueprint reading,
math calculations (shop math), tool changes, offset
changes, material changes, and overall machine
setup from start to finish resulting in parts that meet
print specification.
