Position Overview
The Electrician will support electrical projects impacting our facilities and provide electrical maintenance and adjustments for machinery.
Position Responsibilities
• Assist with scheduled electrical projects and daily maintenance tasks to meet goals
• Suggest improvements to equipment and processes as needed
• Monitor equipment usage and propose cost-saving measures
• Ensure quality is prioritized for the success of all projects
• Evaluate and compare various control and power options, helping the Maintenance Supervisor choose the best solutions based on technical, economic, reliability, and maintainability criteria
• Perform other tasks as required
Position Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman Electrician license preferred
• 5 years of experience using hand tools and electrical testing equipment
• Strong working knowledge of PLCs, AC, and DC drives
• Proven record of compliance with company policies, including attendance
• Good written and verbal communication skills, along with basic math proficiency
• Ability to solve practical problems and prioritize tasks effectively
• Positive "can-do" attitude
Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in high-noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, maintaining focus and avoiding distractions (e.g., cell phones)
• Manual material handling, including gripping, squeezing, and pinching
• Ability to work in environments with elevated ambient temperatures
• Ability to use stepladders, extension ladders, and fixed ladders
• Ability to regularly stand for extended periods
• Ability to work at elevated heights, such as mezzanines, roofs, decks, or mobile platforms
• Good close vision and depth perception skills
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle objects/tools, reach, climb, and occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
