Escrow Manager
Job Overview:
The Escrow Manager will lead the branch operations, ensuring seamless communication during the closing process. This role requires expertise in managing timelines and supporting builder partners effectively. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of escrow officer experience along with 5+ years in a supervisory role. This position is based in Newport Beach, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with performance standards and closing timelines.
- Foster a customer-centric and positive work environment.
- Address and resolve issues causing potential delays.
- Manage payoffs, taxes, and HOA dues; collaborate with the title team.
- Prepare closing documents, including CDs and Settlement Statements.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from transaction participants.
- Schedule and confirm closing dates and signings.
- Accurately balance and distribute funds.
Qualifications:
- Strong multitasking abilities to drive team progress.
- Proficient in technology and comfortable in a paperless setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of building positive relationships.
- Quick problem-solving skills for escalated issues.
- Accurate in calculations involving discounts and prorations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Results-driven with a focus on outcomes.
- Willbe managing 3-4 Escrow Officers + 1 Escrow Assistant
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
- 3-5 years in closing processes, ideally within a builder context.
- Minimum of 5 years in team management.
- Active notary and state-licensed if necessary.
- Experience in managing workflows for efficient closings.
- Familiar with title policies and builder transaction processes.
- Proven ability to monitor and meet closing deadlines effectively.
