Applications Technician (Fountain Valley CA)

Our client is seeking an Applications Technician to assist their customers in creating part programs for CNC machinery!
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop CNC machine part programs, refine processes, and deliver customer training within a manufacturing setting.
• Execute pre-sale activities, encompassing customer visits, machine evaluations, process recommendations, and part processing guidance.
• Perform programming, setup, and training for Citizen and Miyano CNC lathes, as well as CNC vertical or horizontal mills, adhering to customer specifications.
• Generate precise cost estimates, compose engineering reports, and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Provide comprehensive customer support via telephone and onsite visits, with frequent domestic travel within the tri-state area.
• Interpret part prints, plans, and specifications, conducting time studies and overseeing initial part run-offs.
• Align and interface bar feed units as required, with occasional travel to Mexico and Canada.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience with CNC machines; familiarity with Swiss screw machines for CNC lathes is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of some college coursework is advantageous.
• Occasional international travel may be required.
