Construction Account Manager
Are you an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager looking for a dynamic role with an established construction firm? Our client is seeking a motivated individual to join their team and work directly with the CFO and a tenured Accounting Manager. Location: A1A & Beach Blvd area – Just two blocks from the beach!
Work Schedule: In-office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial statements (tax-basis and GAAP) for various entities.
• Monitor and maintain cash balances.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Maintain books and records for assigned entities, including posting all transactions.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices, rents, taxes, licenses, and notes for several entities.
• Prepare analysis spreadsheets and reports as needed.
• Assist with tax and audit requirements, including preparing spreadsheets for auditors and tax accountants.
• Cross-train and assist with other business needs as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Accounting experience, including job costing (open to capable new graduates willing to learn).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• General ledger experience, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements.
• Construction accounting experience is a plus.
• Background check required.

 

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with construction software like Deltek ComputerEase or Sage is preferred, but we’re open to tech-savvy candidates adaptable to new systems.
