Job Description

We have an immediate need for an Entry Level Project Manager / Estimator. The Project Manager / Estimator will be responsible for estimating and bidding projects with a complete and comprehensive review of project plans and specifications. Secure pricing, communicate and analyze project labor requirements. Build and maintain strong communication, written and verbal, with project managers, customers, architects, consultants, vendors, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree (BS) or equivalent from an accredited four -year college or technical school preferred, but it is not required.
  • Knowledge of roofing systems is preferred, but is not required.
  • Experience or strong interest in the constriction trades is recommended.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to communicate well, both written and orally, simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, along with basic geometry.
  • Proficient use of internet explorer, Outlook internet software, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the Project Manger:

  • Work with superintendents to determine labor production capabilities.
  • Work with production personnel to understand production processes.
  • Review assigned plans and specs to establish basic material and labor requirements.
  • Understand contract information and customer requirements.
  • Work with other project manager / estimators to determine how to order materials and secure subcontractors.
  • Review and approves invoices, materials slips, and purchase orders.
  • Review contracts and proposals to verify that they comply with company policy and meet intended scope of work.
  • Maintain open communication with clients to clearly convey progress of project and minimize unresolved issues.
  • Clearly understand schedules, document change orders, prepare submittals, promote safety and quality control.
  • Understand and maintain company policies.
